Paeroa's central location means that there are seven golf courses within thirty five minutes' drive from the motel. Each of these course are rural and very welcoming of visiting golfers. They are all picturesque, well maintained and uncrowded.

on the side of Mount Te Aroha which affects slope on all greens but
two. The back of the course is a solid walk but rewards with some
very interesting holes and great views. Does not get a lot of green
fee players so is very accessible during the week and on Sundays.
The course is superbly maintained with the clubhouse only manned on
competition days.

Quite a busy course on weekends because of proximity to Auckland.
Has an attached bowling club. Could be played on the way from Auckland
to Paeroa. Clubhouse is manned most days.
